Assists and United Way (Central City Cleanup)

Description
HandsOn NOLA, a volunteer division of the United Way, is working closely with Councilwoman Lesli Harris and the Mayor’s Office to clean up and beautify high priority vacant lots to enhance the quality of life for our neighbors. The event is open to the public with a maximum of 100 volunteers. United Way will provide all tools, materials, water, work gloves, PPE, etc
There will be food, music , and a resource fair with city service departments and then selected nonprofits that address mental wellness, youth empowerment, fair housing, etc. Mayor Cantrell will also attend to distribute community impact grant award checks to neighborhood associations and, of course, participate in the clean-up!
Volunteers will meet in Central City at the Keller Center (1841 Magnolia St.).
