Flower Planting with the Lafayette Square Conservancy

Annually, YLC helps the Lafayette Square Conservancy (LSC) plant flowers in Lafayette Square. Flowers, soil, and tools are provided by LSC. This is part of the maintenance and beatification of this public green space that YLC uses for the Wednesday at the Square concert series. LSC has been a longtime partner of YLC and WATS, and this activity supports the on-going relationship and demonstrates YLC’s commitment to the downtown area. YLC board members, committee members, and WATS volunteers have historically fulfilled the volunteer needs for this activity.

What to wear/bring: Comfortable clothing for being outdoors (dress for the weather), sneakers/tennis shoes/sport sandals, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, water. Wear a YLC/WATS shirt, if you have one!
