POSTPONED Assists & Roots of Music

Roots' site has a scheduling conflict as they are a voting precinct for runoff elections on 12/5/2020. We hope to move this event to later in Dec and will relay accordingly.  Thank y'all for your patience! 

For our last Assists event of 2020 we are excited to partner with Roots of Music! Roots was founded in 2007 by Derrick Tabb of Rebirth Brass Band and provides at-risk youth with after-school tutoring and musical instruction. To prevent common barriers to entry this organization provides its pupils (over 100!) with roundtrip transportation and hot meals.

Our day of service will be multi-facated: we will help both Roots and their landlord, St. Paul Lutheran Church. Roots needs a hand with rearranging its storage space and providing an accurate inventory count of the students' gear. St. Paul Lutheran Church, which leases its facility to Roots, also needs a few volunteers to help organize their new food pantry.
