Flower Planting Day at Lafayette Square

Each year YLC volunteers plant flowers in Lafayette Square to help the maintain and continue the beautification of this public space that YLC uses for the Wednesday at the Square concert series. Flowers, plants soil, and tools are provided. The Lafayette Square Conservancy has been a longtime partner of the YLC and Wednesday at the Square, and is now an official project of the YLC.

This activity supports the on-going commitment to keep Lafayette Square clean, safe, and beautiful. YLC board members, committee members, and YLC Wednesday at the Square volunteers have historically fulfilled the volunteer needs for this activity.

What to wear/bring: Comfortable clothing for being outdoors (dress for the weather), sneakers/tennis shoes/sport sandals, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, water. Wear a YLC/WATS shirt, if you have one!
